Pine Cove

Recruiting exceptional college-aged staff has been one of Pine Cove’s strengths and the challenge was how to keep this up as the Pine Cove Ministry continues to grow.

First, we recognized that Pine Cove sounded like every other “summer job” opportunity out there to college students, promising the “best summer ever”. We also heard that college students are most anxious about their future careers. And finally, there were more than 13,000 alumni telling us that the best thing they ever did to prepare them for their careers working at Pine Cove.

The innovative Selfless Adventure approach referred to the holistic, gospel-centered transformation that develops summer counselors spiritually, personally, and professionally, for a lifetime.

Our volunteers are not only contributors—they are the architects of a legacy that will define the future of public protection.

The Association of Former Students

Regarded as one of the premier alumni organizations in the country, the Association of Former Students wanted to help increase the visibility and perception of the organization among Former Students. We conducted focus groups around the state of Texas and conducted surveys with Former Students to understand their unique perspective.

Their market was divided into four distinct groups, all with unique backgrounds, needs and motivations for involvement. The groups were unified in purpose with a new vision, “The Aggie Network”. In addition, new involvement programs were implemented for current students and recent graduates to cement their current and future involvement.

12th Man Foundation

It’s first down and $32 million to go, and the 12th Man Foundation has the ball for the North End Zone expansion project at Texas A&M’s famous Kyle Field. After spending three years in the design and development of the project, the 12th Man Foundation and Athletic Department needed a strategic marketing approach for this major league project.

After touring stadiums all over the country and interviewing thousands of football fans, our team made the strategic recommendation to accelerate the existing sales kickoff date by one year and elevate seat pricing by 25%.  By creating the name and brand identity for “The Zone,” followed by an initial advertising campaign and sales effort, the program exceeded the original projections well past the 5-year plan in just 8 weeks.

The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas

As the primary supplier of blood and tissue in Central Texas, compensation is received from customers for its day-to-day operations. Those operations include the collection, processing, testing, storage, and delivery services that are required to maintain a safe blood and tissue supply.

However, the cost of blood and tissue goes far beyond the day-to-day operations. Your financial contribution will help fund community outreach and capital projects that are essential to assure that needed blood and tissue are available.

Life is in your hands. Invest in our community.

Voice of San Diego

The Voice of San Diego is an independent, non-profit web source for news, opinion, and commentary on local government, housing, environment, education, sports, and other issues in the greater San Diego Area.

Our job was to help VOSD increase subscriptions and offer a more structured fundraising program that would enable the organization to become the number one on-line news publication in the greater San Diego area, and that goal was achieved.

a photographer or archivist. Photos and capturing memories have been important to me for as long as I can remember.

The eureka moment is when you figure out what a client wants. It can be a bit of a dance initially but seeing a client excited about the work you’re doing for them is the most rewarding part of the job!

“don’t take it personally.” Learning how to regroup and shift perspective has been instrumental in my career.

A botanist or a Pokémon master. Still pursuing one of those, honestly.

The team is truly here to work with you and every skill you’re bringing to the table is a valuable asset. Don’t doubt yourself!

I collect and play retro games from yesteryear, and I also spend a lot of time cycling. It goes back and forth depending on what time of year it is!

Definitely “we listen before we lead.” Learning how to help a client becomes so apparent when you really hear them and can form strategies and plans specifically for them.

My absolute best days are when we’re able to help a client see their business differently. It’s usually at this point when things begin to take off and the effectiveness of what we can do for them begins to be realized both internally and externally in a very powerful way.

don’t get too high on the highs and too low on the lows. This advice was from my high school basketball coach.

I think it would be so cool to be able to fly. The different vantage points would be amazing and the ability to get places quickly would be awesome.

As a young fella, I probably wanted to be the usual things like a policeman, fireman, etc. But from high school on, I have always wanted to own my own business. In graduate school, my buddies were sure that I would make a living helping people/organizations see things from a different perspective. They were right!

Be prepared to deliver absolute excellence, while being part of a very caring, results-oriented, drama-free work environment.

There are a whole bunch of food categories that I wish had zero calories. If I had to pick one, it would definitely be tortilla chips with guacamole, chili con queso and/or salsa.

My favorite thing to do, by far, is to hang out with my family…Tracy, Erin, Trey and Kyle. My peeps!

I think giving the client what they need, not just what they want really defines NextLevel Thinking. We have seen some extraordinary results from those clients that have really embraced this collaborative approach.
